Styling My Sweater Dress
This blog is the first blog in my 3-part blog series about the new Oliver Charles All-Season Swing Dress. By the end, you will know how to accessorize and style the dress in ways that make it seem brand new every time you wear it.
This blog is about creating different outfits using one main piece of clothing: a swing dress. I'm excited to take you on this journey with me and show you how the sweater dress quickly became a staple in my everyday wardrobe.

I’m so glad you’re here for this journey, and a lot of outfit inspiration for the new All-Season Swing Dress. When I found out there was going to be a dress version of the sweaters that I know and love, I knew I needed it in my life immediately.
Seeing the package delivered is an amazing feeling, automatically making my day. I pulled out the cutest tote bag that had my new sweater dress in it, and I couldn't contain my excitement. Buckle up and get ready for 7 days of me in this dress.
First Impressions Of The Dress
At first glance, I knew this sweater dress had the potential to be a staple in my wardrobe! I loved how the sleeves tapered at the end so they stay down on my wrists. The neckline has the perfect width and depth. I was very excited to style it for the week! Once I pulled it out of the bag, I recognized the soft khullu feel that I was used to with my other Oliver Charles sweaters.
I loved the Charcoal color because I know that I can style it with a lot of stuff in my closet. It is super versatile and easily wearable in any season of the year.
The fact that there are no seams makes it super unique and extra comfortable. Once I saw it, so many outfit ideas came to mind, and you’ll see them in this blog and the ones to come.

Attending A Family Dinner
A weekly occurrence is dinner with my family, and this week I was able to wear my cute new Oliver Charles dress.
I put a belt with it this time to accentuate my waist, tall socks, and sneakers. I didn’t feel restricted at all in the dress and could eat as much pasta and spiedini as my heart desired.
I like that this dress can be dressed up or worn for a casual dinner with family.

House Decorating In My Dress
Moving into a new home means spending a lot of time decorating and deciding what to hang where on the walls.
I wanted to be comfortable while moving around the house, so I threw on my dress, a pair of socks, and a headband to get work done around the house.
I didn’t feel restricted at all and was able to get some wall art hung up. I ended up getting a lot done because I was so comfortable and could move around freely.

A Cozy Cabin Day
What better way to relax and unwind than spending a weekend in a cabin in the woods of Kentucky?
The view from the back porch of the cabin was breathtaking, it was the perfect backdrop for my new sweater dress.
It was quite cold this weekend, so I had to add some layers to my dress.
I wore leggings underneath, a black puffer vest, and my snow boots.
The yak wool was comfortable and kept me warm enough in the winter temps. I was ready to sit back and relax in my dress and enjoy my time in nature. I love that this dress looks great alone and layered for colder days.

Out To Lunch
My boyfriend and I decided to go on a date night! I wore a graphic tee over my sweater dress and tied it at my waist.
I wore chunky white boots and a red headband to complete my outfit. I was very comfortable and able to eat a lot of sushi.
I like how casual the outfit is because I didn’t feel too dressed up, but felt put together for date day.
The fabric of the dress was breathable, so even with the sun shining I didn’t get too hot.

Lounging Around My Oliver Charles Dress
After running around most of the week, I needed some time to lounge around and relax. I threw on my All-Season Swing Dress, but it was still a little chilly inside, so I decided to throw on a jacket.
I put my hair up and grabbed the book I’m reading at the moment, and was happy and comfortable for a couple of hours.
I don't like putting on sweats because my legs feel restricted, but with this dress, it’s not an issue at all.
I was happy to get some reading done, and even though I wasn't trying to impress anyone in my outfit, I still felt cute.

Line Dancing
Another thing I do weekly is go line dancing, and this week I wanted to take my All-Season Swing Dress for a spin on the dance floor. I wore a denim vest over the dress, a charm necklace, and my white cowgirl boots.
It was the perfect outfit because I was able to move freely, and the fabric was breathable. It was fun twirling on the dance floor in my dress. I liked how this outfit came together, and I felt very confident as I was dancing with everyone there.

My Final Thoughts On My New Dress
I loved adding this dress to my capsule wardrobe and can’t wait to continue to wear it all the time.
The material is perfect for any time of the year, it is extremely soft, breathable, and comfortable. It was a successful week full of cute outfits that I can't wait to wear again.
The unique materials and construction of my All-Season Swing Dress are some of my favorite components of the garment.
It will be a staple in my wardrobe moving forward, and I can't wait to create even more outfits with my new dress. Stay tuned for two more blog posts full of outfit ideas.
