Heritage Yak Wool
Heritage Khullu Sweater
Heritage is what's passed down; preserving what we learn, what we create, and, often, what we wear. Just as the craft of cultivating yak wool has been passed down for generations, so have the durable sweaters the wool constructs.
We made our newest sweaters from 100% yak down from the Tibetan highlands; they are the thickest, warmest, and most luxurious sweaters we've ever made. The wool we knit is solely sourced from Shokay, a fully traceable Tibetan COOP formed by Harvard grad Carol Chyau.
Our new Heritage Yak Wool Sweater promotes 4,000 traditional herding families in Tibet and has heirloom quality that you'll pass down for generations.
100% Yak Wool Sweaters
Crafted from 100% yak down originating in the Tibetan highlands, traceable to the family that produced the fiber.
We aimed to create a sweater that kept us warm on the coldest winter days; a thick, strong wool sweater that didn't itch. We 3D-knit each sweater in a textured garter stitch about 2x the weight of our All-Season Sweaters.
This year we were only able to get our hands on enough yarn to produce roughly 60 sweaters, or about 15 sweaters in each of our 4 timeless colors.
