I wasn’t sure what size to order, and after consulting with customer service went with a L, which is my normal size, even though the size charts indicated a smaller size might work. While the L does fit, it’s roomier than I typically wear, and the hem and sleeves were a bit long. For people who are between sizes and like a roomier fit, I’d recommend sizing up. For those who like a more snug fit, size down. Otherwise, the cardigan was amazing! Goes with everything, a very versatile style and color that works just as well for lounging as it does for work or dressing up. Minor pilling after seven days, but apparently if I wash with jeans (zipped up) the pills will be removed! The seamless 3D-knit is amazing for people with sensory issues, and the SeaCell is both warm and breathable in a way synthetic fabrics just can’t match.

I like the feel of the seacell sweater - like a soft cotton sweater but just a bit silkier. I think the name “summer cardigan” is a bit of a misnomer though. Its is a little heavier and warmer than I thought it would be. I do not think I could wear this cardigan in the summer. But I will wear it in fall, winter and spring. It will be a good layering basic for cooler seasons.

I was surprised that the cardigan did not have buttons even though it clearly does not from the photos. I did get used to it pretty quickly. The color is absolutely gorgeous, as is the material. I can’t wait to travel with it, either. Like many, I did find the cost a little prohibitive, but my curiosity got the better of me. Overall, it’s worth supporting a small business trying to make a dent in the wall of fast fashion and ecologically problematic textile manufacturing.

The 3D knitted no seams was probably the deal maker for me. I wear an apron every day at work and one more thing rubbing on my neck or underarms is just an issues. This sweater is great I love the smoothness of the build of the sweater. I also really like a company that is willing to sell a quality garment that they will stand behind. The pledge to repair the sweater was really another thing that drew me to trying the sweater. I was more than pleased with the feel. Of the knit material it is made from. I really want more of them.

I gave it 4 starts instead of 5 not because of a design or materials flaw, but because it is larger than I thought it would be. Otherwise, this sweater us great for someone else looking to simplify their closet and make a commitment to high-quality pieces that will last a long time. I like wearing close-fitting, lightweight tops and layering, bc I get hot easily at work as a kindergarten teacher. The sea cell cardigan is the perfect combination for this kind of lifestyle/wardrobe. I started the challenge eager and open-minded. I’d really wanted to start with a wool sweater, but it was still hot where I live when I ordered, and I was SO eager to see one of these cool garments, that I opted for the seaweed blend, bc it would be cooler and more flexible for my adventures.
It is SO soft, the color is pleasant, and I love that there are no bulky seams. It’s the perfect weight to wear to the coast over a tank top, or a cooler morning or evening walk. As a result of the sweater being larger than I’d expected, I will probably not wear it to work as often as I’d originally hoped. It will continue to be a comfortable layer for these early fall days, and again in spring and summer, as I begin to wear tank tops again. I really enjoyed telling people that the fiber is seaweed-based! Friends were eager to touch it! I was also excited to share that because of the unique manufacturing process, it’s practically zero-waste! I look forward to trying a wool sweater next and sizing down, and wearing the heck out of it all winter! The idea of slowing down fast fashion is very appealing to me.

I love my summer cardigan! It keeps me warm but also isn’t too heavy that I can’t wear it during the summer. It goes with everything. The quality of the fabric is awesome. Feels really nice on the skin. I’m not proud to say, I live my busy life kinda chaotically at times - sometime leaving clothes on the floor / in the car / crumpled up in a gym bag, you get the idea. The Oliver Charles sweater has kept up with this busy lady! I’ve had the sweater over a month, have not washed it and have worn it frequently and it still looks and smells as good as the day I got it. I got a size large which ended up being a little roomy so maybe for my next OC sweater I’ll size down. But oversized sweater still looks cute.
