All-Season V-Neck

This sweater is ended up being much better than I expected. I didn’t pay much attention to the details of being odor free or that I could wear it for so long. I liked that it could be machine washed and that it was sustainably made with natural materials. 3D knitting seemed really cool, too. The price tag was much more than I usually pay for but since there was a discount for Black Friday, I decided it was worth trying once. I got my sweater in late December and started my challenge just a few days before Christmas. I was pleasantly surprised how well the sweater worked for the first week. Since it seemed easy enough to do the first week, I continued on for the 30 day challenge. The challenge did make me work a bit harder to think of new ways to wear the sweater so I didn’t feel my wardrobe was so monotonous. It did start to pill a bit but the sweater still looked quite good for the full 30 days. I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of smell, even when I went for Korean bbq — notorious for making your hair and clothes smell. Now that I’ve been done a few months, I’ve happily turned to this sweater frequently, esp if I’m a bit cold. It also lasted well through humid weather, which also surprised me! I lean cold so it’s great to have on hand. I’ve already recommended it to my college friend who complained about being cold all the time. I’m thinking of buying one as a gift for a friend who could appreciate the high quality sweater.

All in, love the sweater. The sleeves are a bit tight at the cuffs, (not uncomfortable just personal preference) but that will be helpful to keep out the cool air in the winter months. It stayed in great shape and still doesn’t stink, so this is a win. For my personal taste, I wish the V was a bit deeper on the neckline, but it’s a gorgeous, comfy sweater, even after 7 days!!

It fit perfectly - not too tight and not too clingy in the waist. Blue is my color. Navy is my blue neutral. My uniform is jeans - blue or white - that's it.

After wearing this sweater for seven days, I have the following comments. Before I received it, I was looking for a soft sweater, like cashmere, but easy to take care of. I was skeptical of the sizing chart, which told me I should buy an XS based on my measurements. I ordered a S to give me a little more room. It’s a good thing I did because the XS would’ve been way too small. I’m very happy with the fit of the S. I was able to wear a thin shirt even a turtleneck underneath it, but would not want to wear a thick shirt under it. It would be too tight.

I love the versatility of this sweater and the comfort. Whether it was on my bear arms or with an undergarment, it was very comfortable. Going for walks where it got warmer than I was anticipating it was still comfortable, even though I got warm. It breathes well. This sweater goes well with so many of my clothes whether very casual for doing meditation and yoga or for going out to a nice event. I love that! It will do well as a staple for traveling when I want to pack light. I also love the color of this one which is part of why it’s very versatile. It’s a nice neutral color, that’s a good color for me. I recommend a sweater to anyone, but especially for people who want to travel light.

The All-Season V-Neck sweater is an amazing article of clothing. I wear Smartwool tops almost exclusively, but this Oliver Charles sweater out performed my Smartwool by a lot! It is so comfortable, stretchy and seems to be durable as well. The odor resistance is next level too. This sweater is much more beautiful than anything Smartwool puts out (I still love you Smartwool!). I was surprised by how breathable it is. For me, the comfort range of this light sweater depended on what I was doing. If I was walking fast or wearing my backpack, I feel the temperature range with no undershirt would be 40-55 degrees. If I was just walking into/out of buildings or meandering, 60-75 was the upper range of comfort for me. Wearing an undershirt would extend the temperature range down another 5-10 degrees. I will gradually be replacing my fleece tops with Oliver Charles sweaters! Even though I never spend a lot of time pondering what to wear on any given day, knowing I could wear the same sweater day after day truly did decrease my mental load. I would recommend Oliver Charles to anyone wanting to reduce the amount of clothing in their closet and increase the quality of clothing they own.

Fits perfectly accordingly size guide on their site. It is super comfy, and has taken me through all the ups and downs of springtime in Michigan! I bought the charcoal color and wear it with everything, dressing it up and wearing it out to the barn. A few good shakes and animal hair and hay come off. It is my immediate go-to on busy days.

I am always looking for ways to minimize my wardrobe while maximizing my outfit options. I try to be a responsible consumer and prefer environmentally friendly options, which often means wearing what I already own and supporting companies that are mindful of their environmental impact. To that end, it is often difficult for me to find lasting pieces that go with what I already have. I need clothes that are resilient, soft, and move with me throughout the day as a toddler mom. I also need clothes that are soft and feel good to manage my overwhelming sensory input throughout the day. I was skeptical that I could wear this all seven days without a wash. With the amount of moving and sticky hands, usually my shirts are begging for a wash by the end of the day, if they make it that long. After completing the challenge, I was pleasantly surprised with the sweater's ability to hold its shape, not smell, and easily remove toddler gunk with a wuick baby wipe. I was also amazed that I wanted to keep wearing the sweater. I realized the unique 3D printed nature of the sweater was a beautiful surprise for my sensory needs - the lack of seams made this sweater especially cozy and easy to keep reaching for it. I appreciated how versatile the sweater was and how I didn't get bored with finding variety in my outfit. It was awesome to have one less decision to make every day. It really helped my anxiety and decision fatigue. It also looks great and makes me feel confident. I would recommend this sweater to anyone looking to simplify their wardrobe, cut down on decisions, and be comfortable and confident in their lives. It is an awesome 'mom sweater' - you can wear it with anything from sweats to jeans to a dress, abd it keeps up with the parenting chaos.

I have kept my wardrobe simple for years, simple but never marginal. And I learned long ago that artificial fibres just don't feel as good, last as long, or hang on the body the same way. So a recent frustration was when I ordered a "merino" v-neck sweater online, without carefully checking the fine print, and ended up with one that was 48% acrylic! My fault, I guess. Anyway, I was thrilled to get one that is 75% merino and 25% khullu rather than acrylic, and made in the US rather than China. It is so much softer, springier, and importantly, warmer! It also fits wonderfully. I have a 34" sleeve size and the men's Large is perfect, unlike many foreign-made garments. The shoulders are right and the sleeves come just to my wrists, neither to short nor too long. This could have been custom made! I didn't know I was so boringly average :^)

I loved that this sweater didn't have seams, which tend to irritate my skin. The sweater was initially a little itchy, however at the end of the challenge it was soft and not bothersome at all. I love that even after wearing it for over 24 hours it didn't smell or appear wrinkled! The sweater is a nice weight and has a flattering fit.
