All of our knitwear is made on-demand in Brooklyn, New York. We're passionate about being part of the solution to reduce waste, which is why we make our products on-demand. This means that your sweater doesn't sit around for months before it reaches you - we start working on it as soon as you place your order!
Since we're creating each piece just for you, it may take a bit longer to receive your order than with traditional fashion brands. On average, it takes 3-6 days to knit your sweater after you place your order, and then shipping can take 2-5 days. But we promise it will be worth the wait! Our slow fashion approach means you're getting a high-quality product that's good for the planet too.

Our sweaters are a timeless design meant to last in your closet. If your Oliver Charles sweater becomes damaged from holes, snagged threads, or pilling at any time, send it back and we'll restore it to the best of our abilities!

How sustainable is this product?
Our materials, SeaCell and organic cotton, are both remarkably sustainable. We can replace plastic-based synthetic fibers with these materials; together, they are soft, abundant, and strong. Unlike plastic polyester, SeaCell and organic cotton are made from regenerative resources and 100% biodegradable.
In addition to using 91% less water than conventionally-grown cotton, organic cotton requires 62% less energy, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 42%. Further, the lack of pesticides decreases waterway pollution by 26% and the chances of acid rain by 70%.

I knew I would like this sweater because I have another one! But I really like this one because it is a bit denser yet still feels light, stays clean and odorless, and is extremely comfortable. I love that it is something I can work in outdoors or wear casually to go out. it’s probably something I will grab and wheremore often than just about anything else. A big factor and recommending it to others who know my commitment to the environment is that it is made with sustainability in mind and has little if any carbon footprint.

I think the most surprising thing about the SeaCell sweater was how well it maintained its shape after so many days of wearing it. I only washed it once about 2 weeks in, only because I got some oil splatters on it whilst cooking. It still smells fresh, too. A plain cotton tee shirt will lose its shape after a couple days, requiring a washing just to make it look and feel good again. I liked the weight of it: I was able to comfortably wear it tucked or untucked. The blue/gray color went with everything I own. I usually wore it layers over another long or short sleeved shirt: it never felt constricting. I did try it over a button down shirt and didn’t like how it looked. When I pushed up the sleeves, they didn’t get all stretched out. For us shorter folks, I might like a shouter length to the sweater, though the longer length IS more versatile.

I was looking for a sustainable garment that was warm and lightweight. I did some research and wanted to start with the summer crew to see how the fit is, etc. I love the feel and drape of the sweater. It's so soft and comfortable. I like my sweaters a little loose and this is a bit of a boxy fit, which I like. I ordered the Blue Bird color and absolutely love it. I can dress it up or down. I wear with sweat pants, or nice jeans and boots with a scarf. I'm planning a trip to Iceland and definitely want to take it along as the weather will be unpredictable. I was skeptical of how this sweater would wash up but to my surprise it washed well in both cold(recommended) water and hot water. It would tighten up each time but then relaxed back to good fit. This sweater if perfect for the climate I live in. It will be wonderful if it truly lasts a lifetime! No need to purchase any other sweater. I would recommend this sweater to anyone who wants a lightweight but warm sweater that does not take up much space in a suitcase.
